Orange County is proposing updates to some of its environmental permitting fees, including Boat Dock, Boat Ramp, Lakeshore Protection, and Shoreline Alteration/Dredge and Fill permits. These fees have not been reviewed or updated since 2007 and no longer reflect the County’s cost to provide permit review, inspections and compliance services. If approved, the updated fees will go into effect October 1, 2026. The proposed fees are based on a cost-of-service study and are intended to improve cost recovery, support staffing needs, reduce review delays and strengthen environmental protection.
