Looking ahead 20 years, what do you think will happen to water quality in Orange County if current lakeshore protection policies stay the same?

When invasive plants (like cattails or torpedograss) are removed, native plants must be installed to maintain lake health. Sometimes these new plantings do not survive. Should the County only allow removal when invasive plants cover most of the area (for example, more than 80%), or should removal always be allowed?

Some lakefront properties cleared out shoreline plants years ago and never replanted. In your opinion, what should happen going forward?

When updating lakeshore rules, how important should protecting wildlife (birds, turtles, fish, etc.) be?

People need a clear path to reach the water — but plants also help protect the lake. What do you think is a reasonable width for a “path to the water”?

Should there be a maximum limit on how much shoreline vegetation can be cleared for lake access?
