6606 Winegard Road Future Land Use Map Amendment for 8 Residential Units

This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal to amend the Future Land Use Map designation from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Low-Medium Density Residential (LMDR) to allow for eight (8) residential dwelling units. Currently, three (3) residential dwelling units are allowed on the property. If this request is approved, eight (8) residential dwelling units will be permitted on the property.
The property is located in District 3 at 6606 Winegard Rd; generally located on the west side of Winegard Rd., south of W. Lancaster Rd., north of Orwell Ave., and east of Beret Dr.
The community meeting is 6 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, in the Media Center at Lancaster Elementary School, 6700 Sheryl Ann Drive, Orlando, FL 32809.
Next Steps:
- Following the community meeting, the request will be scheduled for a Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) Hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners. The item will also appear on the PZC agenda which can be accessed through the County Calendar. The PZC meets typically every 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
- Following the PZC hearing, the case will go to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) as a public hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners.
