This is a community meeting to discuss a request to rezone 38.86 acres from A-1 (Citrus Rural District) to PD (Planned Development) with a development program of up to 38 single-family detached residential dwelling units on minimum 0.33 acre lots. The Future Land Use is Rural Settlement 1/1 (RS 1/1), which limits development to no more than a total of 38 units.

A Planned Development (PD) is a zoning district that allows for waivers from Code to be requested and allows for negotiation on development standards. The applicant requested PD zoning because Comprehensive Plan policy FLU6.2.3 requires that development proposals consisting of greater than 25 residential units within a Rural Settlement have final approval as a Planned Development.

The properties are in District 2 at 6322 Terrell Road & 6409 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Mount Dora, FL.

The community meeting is being held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Tangerine Improvement Society, 7101 Wright Avenue, Mount Dora, FL 32757
