1010 Fairvilla Road Rezoning Request for Florist Wholesale including Food and Beer Distribution

This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal to rezone from C-1 (Retail Commercial District) to C-3 (Wholesale Commercial District) to allow for C-3 uses including the requested use of florist wholesale, and beer and food distribution. C-1 zoning allows uses oriented to retail and offices, while C-3 zoning allows for uses that are more intense than the C-2 district including storage yards for inoperable vehicles and heavy equipment, warehousing and distribution, and towing services.

The property is located in District 6 at 1010 Fairvilla Road; generally located north of Fairvilla Road, west of Mercy Drive, south of Arch Street.

The community meeting is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the Media Center at Rock Lake Elementary School, 408 North Tampa Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32805.

Next Steps:

1. Following the community meeting, the request will be scheduled for a Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) Hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners. The item will also appear on the PZC agenda which can be accessed through the County Calendar. The PZC meets typically every 3^rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
2. Following the PZC hearing, the case will go to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) in a Recommendation Book as a “consent item” for Board consideration. If the case is pulled from the Recommendation Book by a Commissioner or if the PZC decision is appealed, a separate public hearing before the BCC will be scheduled (typically 1 to 2 months after) and a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners.
