At its July 16, 2026, meeting, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2026-M-40, updating certain Zoning Division application and permit fees. The changes include increased fees for special exceptions, variances, Board of Zoning Adjustment re-advertisements, communication tower applications, and newly established fees for additional variance requests, BZA modifications/ extensions, fence permit resubmittals, and paver permits. Existing fees had not been reviewed or updated since 2014 and no longer reflected the County’s cost to process applications and permits, conduct site inspections, and provide required public hearing notices. Based on a cost-of-service analysis, the updated fees are intended to improve cost recovery, support staffing needs, and help reduce review delays. The updated rates are scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2026. For more information, email zoning@ocfl.net.
