835 Oberry Hoover Road Rezoning Request for 3 Single-Family Homes
Case #: RZ-26-03-012
This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal to rezone from A-2 (Farmland Rural District) to R-1AAA (Residential Urban District) for consistency with its Low Density Residential (LDR) Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation to build three single-family homes. R-1AAA allows for minimum lot sizes of 14,520 sq. ft. (1/3 acre) and minimum lot widths of 95 ft.
The property is located in District 4 at 835 Oberry Hoover Road; generally located north of State Route 408, south of Fangorn Road, west of North Alafaya Trail, and east of Rouse Road.
The community meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the cafeteria at Discovery Middle School, 601 Woodbury Road, Orlando, FL 32828
Next Steps:
- Following the community meeting, the request will be scheduled for a Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) Hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners. The item will also appear on the PZC agenda which can be accessed through the County Calendar. The PZC meets typically every 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
- Following the PZC hearing, the case will go to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) in a Recommendation Book as a “consent item” for Board consideration. If the case is pulled from the Recommendation Book by a Commissioner or if the PZC decision is appealed, a separate public hearing before the BCC will be scheduled (typically 1 to 2 months after) and a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners.
