803 and 833 Pahoa Street Rezoning Request for Attached and Detached Single-Family Homes

This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal to rezone a portion of three properties, and the entirety of one property all zoned A-1 (Citrus Rural District) to R-2 Restricted (Residential District), to match the zoning designation of the remainder of the parcels. The R-2 zoning district allows for residential development such as attached and detached single-family homes.
The property is located in District 6 at 803 and 833 Pahoa Street; consisting of four parcels generally located east of Pahoa Street, south of Aloha Avenue, west of Lake Sherwood, and about 440 feet north of W Colonial Drive.
The community meeting is 6 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Media Center at West Oaks Elementary School, 905 Dorscher Road, Orlando, FL 32807.
Next Steps:
- Following the community meeting, the request will be scheduled for a Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) Hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners. The item will also appear on the PZC agenda which can be accessed through the County Calendar. The PZC meets typically every 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
- Following the PZC hearing, the case will go to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) in a Recommendation Book as a “consent item” for Board consideration. If the case is pulled from the Recommendation Book by a Commissioner or if the PZC decision is appealed, a separate public hearing before the BCC will be scheduled (typically 1 to 2 months after) and a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners.
