4823 Beggs Road Rezoning and Future Land Use Amendment for Townhomes

This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation of the subject property from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Low-Medium Density Residential (LMDR) to develop 46 single-family attached dwelling units (townhome units). The request is associated with a rezoning request (RZ-25-12-029) to change the zoning of the site from R-1 (Single-Family Dwelling District) to R-2 (Residential District).

The property is located in District 2 at 4823 Beggs Road; Generally located on the north side of Beggs Road, west of Whisper Place and east of Albania Avenue.

The community meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in the media center at Riverside Elementary School, 3125 Pembrook Dr., Orlando, FL 32810

Next Steps:

1. Following the community meeting, the request will be scheduled for a Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) Hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners. The item will also appear on the PZC agenda which can be accessed through the County Calendar. The PZC meets typically every 3^rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Downtown Orlando.
2. Following the PZC hearing, the case will go to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) as a public hearing, at which time a notice will be mailed to nearby property owners.
