This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal is to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation from Industrial (I) and Low Density Residential (LDR) to Planned Development (PD) to allow for the proposed mixed-use development including 200 multifamily units, 30 community residential homes, an assisted living facility, a skilled nursing facility, 60,000 square feet of commercial, 30,000 square feet of office, 75,000 square feet of educational, 55,000 square feet of civic, 20,000 square feet of recreational, 5 acres of agriculture, and 5 acres of campground uses. In addition, the applicant is seeking to rezone the subject property from R-CE (Country Estate District), A-2 (Farmland Rural District), and RSTD I-2/I-3 (Restricted Industrial District) to PD (Planned Development).
The property is located in District 4 at 4601 Young Pine Road; Generally located on the south side of Curry Ford Road, west of Innovation way, east of Young Pine Road, and north of Young Pine Road.
The community meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the Media Center at Andover Elementary School Media Center, 3100 Sanctuary Point Blvd., Orlando, FL 32825.

Following the submission of a request to change the allowable land uses on a particular property within unincorporated Orange County, community meetings are held to discuss the proposed application and to hear from the surrounding residents with regard to any questions or concerns.
The application is reviewed by County staff and a report, including community comments, is presented to the Orange County Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC), acting as the Local Planning Agency, at a public hearing. The hearing is held in the Board of County Commissioners Chamber, located at the County Administration Building, 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32801. Public notice of the hearing date and time is mailed to the surrounding property owners. Members of the public are welcome to speak in support or against the request at the public hearing.
The Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will then hold a public hearing in the Chamber to consider the recommendation provided by the Local Planning Agency of either approval or denial for the proposed land use change. Public notice of the hearing date and time is mailed to the surrounding property owners. Members of the public are welcome to speak in support or against the requested land use change at the public hearing.
Large-Scale Future Land Use Map Amendments, which concern property larger than fifty (50) acres are also reviewed by the State Land Planning Agency and other governmental agencies, in accordance with Section 163.3184(1)(c), Florida Statutes, and require a total of four (4) public hearings rather than two (2).
