This is a community meeting to discuss a proposal for a Special Exception and Variance in the R-CE-2 zoning district as follows:
1) Special Exception to allow Amusement & Recreation (Outdoor Uses)
2) Variance to allow grass parking in lieu of parking on an improved surface
The R-CE-2 zoning allows primarily single-family residential development on two acre lots and certain rural uses by right, and Outdoor Recreation uses via Special Exception. The proposal is to operate an outdoor camp for up to 30 children between the ages of 6 and 14, which is considered an outdoor recreation use, which requires a special exception in the R-CE-2 zoning district. The request includes a Variance to allow the required parking spaces as grass parking where Code requires all parking be on an improved surface.
The property is located in District 4 at 14528 Roxane Drive; generally located on the south side of Roxane Dr., east of S. Lake Mary Jane Rd., west of Sunbridge Pkwy., north of the Osceola County line, south of Wewahootee Rd.
